Ms. Sacks has extensive experience representing employers, school districts, colleges, students, faculty and other employees in the San Francisco Bay Area and all over California in the following areas:

  1. Workplace investigations, including sexual harassment, discrimination, violation of employer policies, Equal Pay Act violations, embezzlement and fraud, in compliance with AWI standards;

  2. Harassment and discrimination prevention

  3. Responding to complaints filed with administrative agencies, including Public Employment Relations Board (PERB), Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH), Office of Civil Rights (OCR) and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC)

  4. Employee discipline and dismissal issues, including prosecution and defense of disciplinary cases

  5. Student discipline, including prosecution and defense of disciplinary cases, First Amendment and Title IX issues

  6. Interactive training on sexual harassment (AB 1825), conducting workplace investigations, accommodation of disabilities, and more

  7. Accommodation of disabilities in the workplace, reasonable accommodation and interactive process issues

  8. Hiring issues and advice

  9. Arbitrations and grievance issues

  10. Interpretation of collective bargaining agreements

  11. Workplace violence prevention and restraining orders

  12. Student rights issues for both public and private schools, and community colleges

  13. Title IX investigations and hearings. Ms. Sacks is ATIXA certified

  14. Discipline and dismissal of California police officers and POBOR

  15. Representation of school districts, community college districts, and independent schools in California
